We collect information necessary to provide school management services. This data is collected primarily from school administrators and directly from users during app use and registration.

Authentication Data: User IDs and authentication tokens managed via Firebase.
Academic and Attendance Data: Attendance records, exam scores, and report card details.
Device Information: Device identifiers, such as Firebase Installation IDs, for security and fraud prevention.

3. App Permissions and Data Access

Camera Permission

The camera is used for scanning QR codes for staff clock-in and clock-out and student attendance. It may also be used to capture profile photos when the user initiates this action. Camera access is used for the requested feature. QR code scanning is processed locally where supported by the app's implementation.

Photo and Media Access

Edutek Pro provides functionality that allows school administrators to manage school identity records, including student profiles, staff personnel files, and school or business profile settings. To support these features, the app may request access to the device's camera and photo gallery.

How We Use This Access

These permissions are used for user-initiated tasks, such as capturing or selecting profile photos for student and staff ID cards, updating school or business logos, and scanning QR codes for attendance tracking.

Data Integrity and Privacy

Photos and media files are captured or selected and uploaded only through user-initiated actions within the app. Edutek Pro does not scan the user's entire media library or access or process unrelated media files in the background. Photos are used to create and maintain the identity records required by the user's school or business institution.

Location Permission (Fine Location)

Transparency Notice: Edutek Pro collects location data to enable the geofencing feature for staff attendance while the app is in use.

Purpose Limitation: Location is used for staff attendance activities, such as clock-in and clock-out, where geofencing is required.
Foreground Only: Location is accessed while the app is actively in use for the relevant attendance activity.
No Background Tracking: We do not track users outside attendance activities.
No Advertising Use: Location data is not shared for advertising purposes.

Storage Permission

Storage access is used where necessary to save generated files, such as report cards, receipts, and lesson notes. The app does not access personal media or unrelated files for this purpose.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal data.
